Thanks
to the "Fab Six"
Reviewer: Rich Thistle
In the liner notes of "A LITTLE TRIP", the Vinyl Kings are careful
to point out that their intent in this project was to thank John, Paul,
Ringo and George for their inspiring gift to those of us who were lucky
enough to grow up with their music. Now I would like to thank Larry, Larry,
Josh, Jim, Michael and Harry. First, thanks for not making this yet another
cover of the Beatles. We seem to have quite enough of those. Even Beatles
cover the Beatles! More to the point, a huge thanks to the "Fab Six"
for this fantastic collection of thirteen fresh, clever, funny, tearful,
catchy, singable, memorable songs. It's like the dream in which you find
that long-lost Beatle album among your high-school memorabilia, but at
the same time it's much more than that. At first listening, the songs
seem vaguely familiar, full of Beatle references without seeming the least
derivative. By the second or third listening, these songs have all become
familiar friends, the kind you wake up humming in the middle of the night.
The musicianship is tops, the writing is clever and mature. "A LITTLE
TRIP" is a fine piece of work and I sincerely hope it won't be their
last. Oh, and one more thing, where did they find my old "rock boots"
for the cover?

LITTLE TRIP" is a fine piece of work
A
mind-blowing "Trip"down Penny and memory lane!
Reviewer: Kevin Krohn
Although initially skeptical about anything claiming to be derivative
of the Beatles, I have listened to this fine CD enough times to think
that even the Fab Four would feel gratified by such a masterful tribute
to their signature songs and sound. The harmonies are perfect, the instrumentation
varied and authentic, the songs run the gamut from early to more adventuresome
Beatles efforts, and the lyrics are intelligent and cheeky. What can I
say, I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!! I have raved about it to anyone who will listen,
and I will not be satisfied with just this one release! Please buy this
CD so they will be encouraged to make more like this one! Cheers, lads!
I
was there - once again - I cried for joy.

I remember well the night Ed Sullivan allowed the heavens to open, and
Beatlemania to pour into my soul and out the top of my head. When I heard
A Little Trip on CBC radio, I was there once again. I listen along with
my musical friends, and we play spot the reference - that's George, that's
all Paul, then there's John's voice, then a George Martin touch, then
Electric Light Orchestra, and then another song, and we're off on another
Little Trip...More Chocolate Cake!
A Treasure....is
there more?

I can't get enough of the Vinyl Kings. I want more. Please please me,
oh yeah, with another release. The best!!
Not a little
trip - a Wonderful Trip!
Reviewer: Dave Jorgensen
This is a respectful, delightful, and wonderfully well-done CD. I hope
Paul, Ringo, and George Martin listen and smile. I'm buying three more
copies for my friends.

Thank you for making us think the Beatles live on.
MAKE
SOMETHING NEW
"I've been a huge Beatles fan all of my life
and I always hoped that they would reunite.
Even after John died, I hoped that the
remaining three would get together and,
with the help of Jeff Lynne, create
something new. That never happened, but
the next best thing would have been for
someone to take what they had learned
from the Beatles and make something new,
and that is what the Vinyl Kings have done;
extremely well! I've listened to your CD
three times, and my wife and I both really
enjoyed it and will continue to do so. You
seem to have incorporated the many
different styles that the Beatles evolved
through over the years, and the nice thing
is that your own style is intermingled, so that
I feel like I'm hearing something new, yet
familiar. Thanks for taking the time and
effort to make such wonderful music.
I've already begun to spread the word about
the Vinyl Kings.

WHEN
I CLOSE MY EYES, I'M BACK TO MY YOUTH - IT'S JUST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
"If the Beatles (as a group) could have heard this, they would have
been amazed
at their everlasting influence. This is a great CD. The music is so original,
yet so nostalgic. It's like home away from home. I want to hear more."
Michael P. Love it !!!!

Andi (from a band called The Barrys)
I am a musician with lots of Beatles influence. I learned of this CD from
our own page - The Barrys - The Vinyl Kings were listed on our page as
a band our fans should check out and I can see why. Having similar Beatles
influence it was sort of a no brainer that I would like this band so I
went to their site and listened and immediately bought.....can't wait
until mine arrives !!!!
I Want My
Vinyl Kings CD Back!!!
Reviewer: Jackson Quigley
I want my Vinyl Kings CD back!!! I already posted a review, but what's
happened since then is a Review in and of itself. My wife took my CD and
won't give it back. So instead of ordering one to replace it, I've ordered
25 because I can see my friends stealing it too. I'm so sure they'll want
one, I ordered a box. Now I'll just sell them one instead.

A Letter From Sax Legend
Jim Horn
I'm glad I could be a part of the Vinyl Kings' music. When they
added horns' they called me. The unique thing about their music is that
all of the songs are written by them and have a Beatle treatment to the
tracks. It's amazing how nostalgic and yet new the music sounds.
I've recorded with all four Beatles' on their separate records and
got to know them on a one on one situation. They were all unique in their
own way. I spent most of my time with George Harrison.
Last year I played the George Harrison memorial concert in London
at The Royal Albert Hall on the anniversary of his death. They were
burning the same incense in the theater that George burned in his house
and that brought back some memories. It was an unforgettable night. The
concert started with some of the best Indian music performed by 30 of Ravi
Shankars' musicians. He composed all of the songs just for the concert. He
and George were very close and dear friends.
The band was lead by Eric Clapton, who is very easy to work with.
He rehearsed for two weeks then I joined them on the third week.
It was great seeing Paul and Ringo. Ringo and I sat for almost an
hour having a quiet conversation. We're going to miss George a lot. I
spent a lot of time in the studio at Friar Park (Georges' house), walking
in the gardens trying to play cricket and just relaxing when we felt like
it.
Paul is very happy today and we talked about everything we have
been doing since I last recorded with him in his studio. He's a brilliant
musician and a good friend.
The concert was a great success and there will be a DVD available
on the anniversary of Georges' death.
I'm proud to have worked with all the Beatles' and recording with
the VINYL KINGS was an honor, because those guys are great song writers!!
Good Luck Guys,

A
Touch of Class Today With The Flavor of Yesteryear
While reminiscent of "The Beatles" era
of music, the Vinyl Kings capture a style of music rarely heard on this
C.D. As was then, this timeless blend of music and lyric is masterfully
mixed and captures the current sounds and issues of today while subtly
reflecting the exceptional talents which bring it to life on "A Little
Trip"

Great
songs, great fun!
Not only do The Vinyl Kings pay their respect to The Beatles with
this well crafted CD, they do it with great humor. Songs such as Chocolate
Cake capture the playfulness of the Fab Four without resorting to low-brow
humor. If you're feeling a bit nostalgic for music that doesn't take itself
too seriously , pick up this great CD!!

Beatles tribute aside, this is a fine selection of songs. For those of
us with a little gray on top, this collection encompasses all of the sonic
variety that the fab four used during their (and perhaps our) heyday. Wonderfully
composed and performed, this truly is the best Beatles album that they
never recorded.

The Vinyl Kings are a great talent. I've had a lot of fun listening to
the "Take A Little Trip" CD. It's been interesting hearing little
glimpses of Beatles songs in every VK song. John, Paul, George and Ringo
would be proud.
Reviewer: John Bezzini
It's great to hear a group today that is writing
some memorable melodies. Enjoyed the CD very much. Keep up the good work.
Hope to hear more from you soon!!!!

It's All
True!!
Reviewer: A complete Beatles Fan
Everything all the above reviews says is true!! The "Kings"
are a ton of fun and capture the essence of the Beatles while retaining
their own identity. Each track is a winner!
"Nice
to be your first international customer! Actually, I hadn't heard about
you before. I searched for another artist and ended up at CDBaby, which
was new to me and since the shipping cost was the same for two
records,
I looked for a second one. Since I love the Beatles and liked what I heard
from the prelistening, I took a chance (as song number two is called).
And Im glad I did. I really like your record. Apart from one song
its a great record. "Mother Dear" is nothing else but
fantastic makes one cry. "A Little Trip" is one of the
best buys I've made in a long time! I wouldn't be surprised if you make
it big."

Reviewer: Tamara D. Turner
If you're the type that has hopelessly pined for a new Beatles record,
like some sort of bent genie's lamp, this is here to grant your wish.
In this artistically uncanny tribute album and homage to the Beatles,
all-original songs will not only take you back to that night in 1964
on the Ed Sullivan show and the history that followed but propel you into
how a Beatles universe might digest the current world and its limitless
possibilities for musical originality.

Had a Hard Day with my Rubber Soul Mystery
Tour on Abbey Road
Reviewer: Jack Gubanc
A must album for all those Beatle fans who remember it has been
32 years since the Fab Four released their last album. The Vinyl Kings
obviously hold the Beatles catalog of work in high regard and do their
utmost to recreate the sound, arrangements and lyric format of the Legends
from Liverpool. If you like the Beatles, you will appreciate the effort
the VKs have made in honoring the group that had such an impact on popular
music and culture.
MASTERFUL
FOR ANY TIME PERIOD!
"I happened upon this record and fell immediately in love with it's
harmonies and rich history. I'm only 27, but I can closely relate to the
excitement one must have felt when first hearing the Beatles... I am definitely
a "Vinyl Kings"
Fan for life!"

TAKE "A
LITTLE TRIP" INTO SOME GREAT ROCK AND ROLL
"Wish the Fab Four would release just one more CD? Well, this is
as close as you're going to get. Take "A Little Trip" straight
into some great rock and roll. Thirteen original tunes written and performed
by former Coral Reefers and their friends. I've listened to it several
times now, and it just gets better and better."
- Deb Daly
THE FAB
FOUR ARE BACK!
"I'm a big Beatles fan, and I thought I would give this CD a try.
I was blown away. The songs are great! The "McCartney" type
ballads are amazing and the
Vinyl Kings really capture what the Beatles were all about without really
going too far over the top. The Vinyl Kings' CD has been in my CD player
for the last five days straight, and it
sounds better each time I hear it."

"A
LITTLE TRIP" BACK TO BEATLEMANIA
For many of us who grew up in the 60's, we have fond memories of every
new Beatles release. We would take the plastic wrapper off the LP, or
gently slide the 45 out of it's sleeve as if it were gold and place it
on the turntable. The Vinyl Kings have brought back memories of those
days with their new CD, "A Little Trip". The
CD contains 13 original songs written by different group members to pay
homage to
their musical heroes. The Beatles music progressed with each new album
over several years. The Vinyl Kings managed to represent all of the Beatles
different
musical styles on one CD. The title track tells the story of that night
in February 1964 when we watched the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show and
how it influenced the writer to pursue a life in Rock'n'Roll. "A
Little Trip" is a stunning tribute to the Beatles music and a time
so long ago."
- Pat Fopma
WE'VE
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MUSIC FOR OVER 20 YEARS!
"My wife and I were lucky enough to hear a lot of this CD in Larry
Michael Lee's Studio over a year ago. Immediately following our hearing
it, we left Nashville
for Memphis and couldn't even play any music in our car, because we knew
our musical world had changed that afternoon and anything we listened
to would
pale in comparison. When you listen to this CD, not only will you think
the Beatles got back together, you will swear they actually got better."
